Adorable rat terrier pup born September 5, to our family pet. He is a mostly black male with white markings. He is playful, and we are currently crate training him to prepare him to be an indoor pet. He has done very well with the training, and has not had any accidents since we started him in the crate. (Once, because of us being sick, he was in the crate for 12 hours without an accident.) The mother is on the premises and she has taught him how she catches moles and shrews in our yard. He is used to other animals, as well, and loves to play with our male cat. (We also have a husky.) He has been on Puppy Chow since his teeth came in, and had his first shots Dec. 17th. He was also wormed and checked over thoroughly by the vet. The litter is registered and he is ready to leave the mother. The mother dog is about 10 pounds, so he will be a smaller rat terrier. He weighed in at the vet's at 6.2 lbs. Rat terriers have a very lovable nature and love attention--they make excellent lap dogs. This is the mother's third litter, and she is a very good mother. He is at a really cute stage and funny just to watch. He is playful but seems to be more laid back than most rat terriers. He tolerates my grandchildren well and enjoys being held and petted by them. We are asking $195 for him, and would add $25 if you want to also include the training crate, which is new just for him. (The final photo was made over two weeks ago.) We want to see him get into a loving home. He would make an excellent companion pet for an older person or couple.
